Issues addressed
The medical questions spine cases turn on.
- Causation: acute injury compared with pre-existing degenerative disease
- Interpretation of MRI, CT and X-ray findings
- Reasonableness and necessity of surgery, injections and other treatment
- Future medical care and review of life care plans
- Permanency, impairment and work restrictions
- Neurosurgical and spine surgery standard of care
Why a practicing surgeon
Opinions from the operating room, not only the record.
Dr. Dare evaluates and treats spinal trauma, herniated discs and spinal stenosis, and performs minimally invasive spine surgery. That daily clinical work informs how he reads imaging, judges whether surgery was indicated and estimates future care.
His training spans the Yale School of Medicine, neurosurgery residency at the University at Buffalo and a neurosurgical oncology fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Engagement
How a matter moves.
Clear scheduling and written terms from the first call.
Intake
Send the case caption, parties, the examinee's name and your deadlines for a conflict check. The fee schedule and engagement letter follow by email.
Examination and report
Florida CMEs take place at the Miami or Pembroke Pines office. Examinations in New York, New Jersey and elsewhere in Florida are by arrangement. The report timeline is agreed when you retain Dr. Dare.
Testimony
Video depositions and remote or in-person trial testimony, scheduled in writing once the retainer is received.
